The Ultimate Bridesmaid Emergency Kit

By  |

Even when absolutely everything is planned and organised to perfection, there could be an unforeseen emergency that creeps up.

Pack a little box or bag for your Chief Bridesmaid or Maid of Honour to keep safe in case they need to swoop in!

Here is our handy glide to what you should pack:

1. Needle and Thread

A stash of needles and a spool of white for you in case beading falls off and black/navy for the groom in case buttons disappear.

2. Thimble

Something you would over look but wedding dress material can be very thick, a thimble will help you push that needle though to save the day.

3. Buttons

If your dress is buttoned, you should have a couple of spares, it is something to ask in the bridal boutique when you are getting your dress just in case. Pack some transparent buttons for all emergencies and keep the spare ones from the grooms suit too.

4. Plasters

Cut heels, page boys running and falling, accidents happen, pack up a range of sizes.

5. Blister plasters

A must have. Invest in the gel type plaster covers that you can get in all good chemists to cushion any feet emergencies so you can cover up and dance the night through!

6. Mirror

A handy compact mirror is a must have for final checks of lipstick, hair and eyes.

7. Wet wipes

Wet wipes are a life saver and can be used for everything from sticky hands to spillages on lapels from all the clinking of champagne flutes.

8. Paracetamol

Sometimes stress and anxiety can bring on a headache at the most inconvenient times. Pop some painkillers in the kit just in case you start to get a niggle, you can halt it before it starts.

9. Chewing gum/Mints

You are going to be kissing a LOT of people, not just your new hubby so have some mints or gum to hand for after dinner or after coffee.
